TÄSSÄ TEEMASSA
Pinoa - Too Black, Too Strong
Believe that chairs and tables should be seen as parts of the surrounding space, where their sculptural form and functionality emphasizes the spatial experience. In addition to basic functionality they should also meet our visual needs and bring pleasure through their mere appearance.
I believe that stacking can be a way to present the object, not just a way to hide or store it. Stacking should highlight the characteristics of the object rather than make them disappear. ‘Pinoa’ is designed primarily for public spaces and it can be moved, stacked and combined easily by one person. The solid and elegant form of the birch chair and table makes them easy to use and comprehend.
‘Pinoa’ is a simple thing with a twist.
