‘In betweens’ is a curious confrontation with our material being. Designing clothing to be worn against bare skin draws all attention to embodied situations and their specificity. It involves an intimacy that is both intriguing and confusing. This ambiguity has lead a search and research of lived experiences by the sensing body and the ethical and aesthetical implications taking this perspective might have.

The thesis is an attempt to blur rigid borders between inside and outside, myself and other as well as between what is conceivable and what is perceivable. ’In betweens’ is an experiment, an exercise, a beginning and a true challenge.
