My final thesis consists of nine traditionally painted oil paintings, their exhibition and a theoretical part. I want to express the repressed anger and the impossibility of a woman with a ‘good-girl syndrome’ to express aggression or negative feelings. I feel that even though we live in a seemingly equal society, there are very unequal expectations for boys and girls. Girls are assumed to be more decent, nicer and good in school while boys can be wild and freer to express their aggressions. I want to explore equality, problems between genders, and how history has even treated women as witches or demons.
