Finnish Teens

‘Finnish Teens’ is a colorful, tenderly humoristic, yet touching photographic documentary about the life of Finnish teenagers. It is a series of strong photos of worlds that are overlapping and extending each other like individual stories in a collection of short stories. I suggest it is a short story collection about life that you don’t recognize anymore as your own. I suggest it is a story about waiting; waiting to fly with your own wings and to find yourself again. Light is casted only on the surface. What you see is a reflection. What do faces know about light?
The selection of photos showing at the MoA2011 are from the forthcoming Finnish Teens solo-exhibition at the Finnish Museum of Photography, opening in September 2011.
