Shape of the Movement

'Shape of the Movement' is a research study about the visuality of contemporary dance posters in Europe from 2000 to 2009. Seven hundred posters were collected from around Europe and analyzed with semiotic research methods. The study portrays the history of contemporary dance and contemporary dance  posters. It also studies the marketing processes of dance groups of different sizes. The product part of the study consists of two posters and other marketing material designed for the piece 'Being is everything' by Alpo Aaltokoski Company.
