| Tea Savolainen Spatial Design 1981, Finland Thanks for helping! – Shop concept for Fida
In the new shop concept for Fida International, the client becomes a helper and the second hand shop a link between Finnish and worldwide charity work of Fida. Fida finances its charity works in the developing countries through the second hand shops.
My design key words are easy, affordable, and ecological. The new look of Fida shop chain consists of modular shop furniture system made out of recycled cardboard. Shopkeepers can easily assemble cardboard furniture without tools. Instead of disposing old furniture they can be tuned according to the new look. My design includes elements for selling, information purposes, and for encouraging people to participate in charity. In the shop, clients can take part in charity by shopping, donating money, and many other ways.
