Know Your Rights: Designers as Activist

Produced for Amnesty International, the exhibition Know Your Rights demonstrates how renowned designers perceive the 60-year-old UDHR.
How does a designer succeed as an activist? How does a poster work as a tool for activism? In my project, I studied poster design and social activism in relation to each other.

Know Your Rights was part of the Helsinki Design Week program in the fall of 2008.  The posters have been on display in several exhibitions and public demonstrations in Finland, Germany and Norway. The exhibition was accepted at the Lahti Poster Biennial 2009.
