MoA Cinema screening, May 8th, presenting three award-winning movies

MoA08 cinema screening presents three award winning movies produced at the School of Motion Picture, TV and Production Design of the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Roadmarkers was recently nominated to the Selection of film school works, Cinéfondation, at Cannes.

The Roadmarkers is the second movie directed by Juho Kuosmanen, a fouth year student at the University of Art and Design Helsinki. Roadmarkers is a movie about sideways. A world where people talk with few words and where violence is way to express your feelings.

High Hopes, directed by Mazdak Nassir won the 1st prize at the Tampere Film Festival, 2008, in the short film category. High Hopes will also be at the Short Film Corner in Cannes

Summerchild, directed by Iris Olsson won the "Best Student Documentary" prize at the Finnish Short and Documentary Film Festival, 2007. The Best short or documentary film title was given to it at the Tromsø International Film Festival, 2008. Summerchild received the Best Student Film, “Presidents Award” at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival, Durham, NC, U.S.A, 2008
