GOD'S TEETH
Statement
The short film God's Teeth is set in Lapland in the 1930s. Juha is attending a confirmation class in a remote village, when a van drives into the churchyard. To Juha's horror, the back of the van is equipped for dental surgery. It has been decided that all the village youth will receive a full set of dentures as a confirmation gift, and they must all have their own teeth pulled out. Witnessing the agony of his friends, Juha tries to flee, but he doesn't get far.  It seems impossible to avoid being fitted with confirmation teeth, until higher powers decide to intervene.
