EMOTION EMPIRE 2016
Statement
My graduation project, Emotion Empire 2016, is a book about trend
forecasting. Its subject is young and young-minded consumers. Instead
of the traditional approach of dividing consumers into groups, my
project presents an alternative tool for understanding the young people
of the future by using emotional scenarios. In the book, I present
three scenarios for 2016, discussing the possible character of future
consumers and the possible emotional atmosphere they live in. I
speculate about the feelings young people may conceivably have ten
years from now, and how those emotions will affect their everyday
choices.
