Creative Business -seminar

Four visionaries of various creative fields will set the MoA07 seminars to spark. These absolute professionals on their respective professional fields will open ways for understanding creativity - how creativity is born and used or could be used in the present moment and in the future. The topics will also touch upon creative entrepreneurship, creative communities and the power of them, internationality and how to stay in the top position once the way up there has successfully been made.

Timo Everi (43),  CEO and partner at Helsinki-based hasan&partners, one of the most internationally known and awarded Scandinavian agencies. As a copywiriter and creative director, Timo Everi has been credited in all major international award shows. Including Cresta, Clio, Cannes, New York Festivals, etc. In 2003, he received the Platinum award for career achievement, the highest distinction available for a Finnish creative.

From 2004 to late 2006 Timo worked as a Chief Commercial Officer for Wataniya Telecom in Kuwait. Later Wataniya, besides becoming a highly profitable company, has also been perceived as a brand leader in Middle East. February 2007 Timo came back home and started as a CEO of hasan&partners.


Fredrik Magnusson, founder & former Creative Director and CEO of Propeller. Fredrik graduated from the Industrial Design programme at The University college of Arts, Crafts and Design, in Stockholm and the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. Under Fredriks lead Propeller grew from 1 to more than 40 designers and developed to become one of the foremost design agencies in Scandinavia. Propeller is behind many of the recent years’ most renowned projects in the field of industrial design. The agency’s references are something of a “Who’s Who” of Swedish design, including such major players as ABB, IKEA, Electrolux, GM, Microsoft, Scania, SKF and Volvo, along with smaller companies that nonetheless grab the headlines in their own respective fields.

After 12 years with Propeller Fredrik has been involved in more than 500 projects for clients from around the world and have won over 20 international awards. The result of his work have also been written about in substantial numbers of articles, research papers and books – on subjects that have ranged from the Propeller culture to the creative quality of his team and, most importantly, the fact that he has strengthened brands and substantially increased sales for his clients. Based on his new role as design strategist Fredrik will touch on his favorite subjects “commercial creativity” and “Consumer insight vs. Consumer excite


Federico Barbieri
has 20 years multidisciplinary marketing experience in various fields and countries. He holds master in marketing and advertising and has studied in Italy and United States (New York University). Federico’s work experience varies from small advertising agency (working on luxury yaghts), to big grocery retailer (coop italia), to fashion/design (Mandarina Duck) to multinational companies (Nike and Nokia), from Italy to UK, from the Netherlands to Finland with country, area and global level of responsibilities. He has been leading category management projects, retail development, flagship store communication (Nike Town and Nokia), web communication (Mandarina Duck), store design (Mandarina Duck), pr, etc.


Peeter Jalakas
is one of the founding members of the Estonian Stage Productions, the non-profit association of contemporary theatre and dance information in Estonia. He has participated in many international conferences and seminars in Europe and US, and belongs to the advisory board of the Open Society Institute Performing Arts Network Program.

Peeter Jalakas’s long-awaited ÕNNE VALEM/TO DEFINE HAPPINESS is premiering on April 9th. The idea that was born during the first session of the Von Krahl Academy on the theme of cosmology, and is inspired by a physicist and philosopher Stephen Hawking's book „A Brief History of Time”, has transformed into material forms. The world famous minimalist Gavin Bryars („ The Sinking of the Titanic”, „Jesus Blood Never Failed Me Yet”) has written original music especially for the Von Krahl Theatre and NYYD Ensemble.


Roope Mokka
(MA) civic interventionist, researcher and an
entrepreneur. He the founding member of Finland's first independent think tank Demos Helsinki. At Demos Helsinki Mokka is currently working on the reformation of the Finnish welfare society. His other topics of interests include democracy and climate change, the future of cities and urban lifestyles and co-produced media. Previously Mokka has been working as a new markets analyst and a journalist. Mokka is also the publisher of a urban culture magazine, Läs.
