University of Art and Design Helsinki opens doors on Thursday, May 10th
The
University of Art and Design Helsinki holds an open doors day on Thursday, May
10th. An open doors day is a fine opportunity to become familiar
with the operation of the school as well as its staff and students.
You can explore the University on your own, but there will also be thematic
guided tours on the hour starting at 12 p.m. The focus of the first tour is the
Department of Design; a tour of the Department of Visual Culture follows at 1
p.m. At 2 p.m. a tour of the international Media Lab as well as the entire
school is given in English. The last guided tour at 3 p.m. visits the
Department of Motion Picture, Television and Production Design.
After each half-hour tour, you have an excellent
opportunity to exploit the so-called living library of visual culture, that is;
find your own breathing Master of Arts with whom to discuss studies, art,
culture or anything else that might interest you.
The guided tours are free of charge and do not require advance registration.
However, groups of ten or more should kindly notify Jessica Sinikoski
beforehand (firstname.lastname@uiah.fi,
050 591 4341). Open the door and step inside!
