Put Things in Order
Innocence

In the beginning of my MA studies I was asked to make a poster that condensed my view of graphic design. So I did one with the slogan "Put Things In Order". When approaching my final diploma work, I realised that my research was going in circles around this same issue: What do I do? Therefore my work, a series of posters or graphics compiled in a newspaper styled publication, is just that – a natural outcome of the process of questioning the reasons of one’s activities and interests.

In short:
What is it?
1. A visual laboratory. A deconstruction of the semantic and semiotic elements of design.
2. A practical reflection on visual communication in terms of honesty, responsibility, humanity, irony,
coherency and in–coherency.
A quick, straight and simple exercise of graphic design honesty.
3. A commentary based on the observation of visual communication and the world.
What for?
To start the spark of a story. Designers have become the new storytellers. Icon–builders. Trend–setters.
When starting this project my question was:
Why?
Because design to me is more about asking the right questions than about providing deep solutions.
