Masters of Arts Festival draws record crowd of friends of youthful visual culture to Arabianranta May 30th 2006 The three-week Masters of Arts Festival has ended. The festival that has
grown from the University of Design and Art Helsinki's degree show into
an urban culture event of youthful culture drew a record-breaking 12 000
visitors to the festival's exhibition, seminars and other events. |
Exhibition: The Next Generation and Waking Up the Next Morning Curator Tomas Ivan Träskman It feels as if the next generation is seldom taken seriously. This generation is defined by a kind of carnivalesque explosion and is destined to a sobering morning after. Maybe the next generation should be taken seriously? Masters of Arts is a spring kitchen, a launch pad... Festival producer Tuuli Sotamaa Masters of Arts 2006 is a three-week festival in Arabianranta, Helsinki. It is a joint venture between the University of Art and Design Helsinki, its graduating master students, various associates, sponsors, producers of culture and other educational institutes in Arabianranta. |
